Ed Bacheson is vital to DSN Innovations and enabling supplier network based solutions. Prior to joining DSN Innovations, Bacheson served in project and program management capacities for Lockheed Martin Information Technology, Parametric Technology Corporation, Formtek and Intergraph Corporation. He’s deployed large enterprise information management systems for several types of industries. Bacheson earned his bachelor’s from Lehigh University and his master’s from the University of Pittsburgh.
As communications coordinator at DSN Innovations, Natalie Coccia handles the public relations, marketing and design aspects of the organization. Prior to joining DSN Innovations, Coccia spent a year at Datavibes, Inc. in which she developed knowledge pertaining to the information technology industry. Coccia has had various experience within the communications field that include interships at Markowitz Communications and Jack Horner Communications. Coccia earned her bachelor's degree from Westminster College.
Steve DeFlitch is responsible for matching manufacturers’ core capabilities with customer needs. He also manages supplier networks, validates business processes and educates small manufacturers about DSN Innovations. Prior to joining DSN Innovations, DeFlitch implemented a lean manufacturing program for Tri-Arc Manufacturing, and tool design for Senior Flexonics/QSi. He established quality control procedures for Verosol Window Fashions and testing criteria for Respironics. DeFlitch has experience in a variety of industries and earned his bachelor’s from Drexel University.
With more than 25 years of experience as assistant to top-level executives, Carol Donnis provides critical administrative support to DSN Innovations. Previously, Donnis provided support at the Rockwell International and Allegheny International. A graduate of Duff’s Business Institute in Pittsburgh, Donnis’ administrative tasks include scheduling meetings, conferences and events, and assuring all reporting requirements are met in the appropriate format and timeframe.
As program manager for DSN Innovations, Karen Levin implements Network Centric Manufacturing business solutions with key clients. Prior to joining DSN Innovations, Levin served in various project management capacities for several Pittsburgh-area firms, including Red Square Systems, Calgon Corporation, ChemTech Consultants and the Elliott Company. Levin has experience in a wide variety of industries, including information technology and various types of materials and chemicals. She earned a bachelor’s from Carnegie Mellon University and a master’s from the University of Pittsburgh.
Chris Peters has been involved with and launched a variety of businesses that facilitate supplier network interaction. He co-founded MetalSite, the world's first industry-backed online marketplace, earning his clients a $183 million return on a $20 million investment. As one of the early adopters of e-business, Peters also developed a solution that increased annual profits for a Fortune 1000 manufacturer by more than $8 million. His work has been documented in several books and in publications ranging from
The Wall Street Journal to
Nikkei News. He also has been a speaker on supplier network interaction throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia.
Tony Scacchitti has numerous high-level engineering responsibilities that are critical to daily DSN Innovations operations. Prior to joining DSN Innovations, Scacchitti has held various engineering and industrial management positions at Airco, The Stanley Works (Stanley Tools), Elkay Inc. and Xaloy, Inc. He has also spent three years planning the warehouse management systems for QVC television shopping network. Scacchitti earned his bachelor’s at Gannon University and has formal training from the JcIT Institute and the University of Kentucky.
Dennis Thompson was instrumental in starting DSN Innovations,
formerly the Doyle Center for Manufacturing Technology, in the Spring of 2003 and serving as the Executive Director, and now President and CEO. Thompson has more than 30 years of manufacturing expertise, having held various senior level engineering and managerial positions at Chrysler, Stanadyne, Advance Drainage Systems, Remington Arms and Catalyst Connection. He serves on a number of advisory boards including the National Council for Advanced Manufacturing (NACFAM) and is a frequent speaker on the topic of agile manufacturing and the evolution and future of supply chain management for both military and civilian audiences. Thompson earned an MS in business management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at the Hartford Graduate Center.
As controller of DSN Innovations, Williams directs and coordinates the accounting and finance functions of the organization. Prior to joining DSN Innovations, Williams served in accounting/finance roles for various companies that consist of a public accounting firm, Fortune 500 companies and a privately-held company. He has extensive experience in financial analysis, budgeting, corporate accounting and public accounting. Williams earned a bachelor's degree from Robert Morris University and a MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.
